Babes Pregnancy Crisis Support Limited is a non-profit agency that journeys with pregnant teenagers, providing emotional support, information and resources to empower them to make responsible decisions on their pregnancy. In case anyone needs help, they offer a 24-hour helpline.
Teenagers have higher rates of complications in pregnancy and childbirth and are higher risk of postnatal depression, especially when they don't have a healthy support system in the family and get negative perception from the surroundings.
Moreover, the long-term consequences include lowered educational achievement, medical complications, higher subsequent fertility, low labor force participation, reduced earnings, a lifetime of economic stress and limited opportunity, and marital failure.
Hence, B'loved decided to include Babes as one of our Lovelies Donation Programme beneficiary to ensure that adolescent parents receive adequate social, emotional, medical, and academic support that is essential to the parent and the baby's future.
Empowering women from all walks of life is part of B'loved business fundamental. Furthermore, B'loved can relate to Babes mission as we share the same target audience, female under 21 years old. Feminism is not about making women strong. Women are already strong. However, it is about changing the way the world perceives that strength. Let's start from within and around us!
